Types of QR codes

Static QR code

Open amount

The static QR without amount is linked to a specific point of sale or business and is commonly used for payments without a predefined amount. This type of QR code is particularly useful in scenarios where there is no integration with the point-of-sale software, and the customer needs to manually enter the transaction amount.

This type of QR can be obtained using the generation API without specifying the items that make up the sale.

Closed amount

The static QR with associated amount is linked to a specific point of sale and is used to identify a specific sale. In this type of QR, the transaction amount is already included in the code, simplifying the payment process. It is particularly effective in situations where the customer can scan the QR directly from the device generating it, providing a fast payment experience without the need for the customer to manually enter the amount.

This type of QR can be obtained using the generation API by specifying at least 1 item of the sale.

Dynamic QR code

The dynamic QR is linked to a specific point of sale and is characterized by its ability to adapt to different amounts and transaction details. Unlike static QR codes, the dynamic QR is generated only once and dynamically assigned the transaction amount.

This type of QR is particularly useful in scenarios where transaction details, such as the amount or additional information, vary and depend on integration with point-of-sale software. Its flexibility makes it an effective choice for businesses with variable and adaptive transactions.
